Cumulative update 13 (released on 24 April 2014)
CU13 contains the following forward-looking hotfixes for full compatibility with SDL Studio GroupShare 2014 scenarios. These hotfixes are critical if you do not plan to upgrade to SDL Trados Studio 2014 SP1 after it becomes available. If you are planning to upgrade to the 2014 SP1 release right away, you do not need to install this CU as Studio 2014 SP1 supersedes any previous CUs and versions of Studio 2011 and Studio 2014.
Compatibility hotfix to enable you to open server translation memories in Studio 2011 SP2R that have been published on a GroupShare server from Studio 2014 SP1.
Compatibility hotfix to enable you to access any server-based translation memories from the Translation Memories view, regardless of the version of Studio used when connecting to a GroupShare 2014 server.
Fixes for Java-related issues (same fixes as included in Studio 2014). These fixes enable you to edit terms in Studio and MultiTerm 2011 even after installing Java 7 Update 45 or later. You can also use Java 8 without having to lower security settings.
Fix for very rare issue that caused term recognition to freeze Studio when retrieving very long terms that contain special characters.
Fix for the 'Invalid digital signature' error message caused by outdated or damaged digital certificates.

Cumulative update 12 (released on 23 October 2013)
Working on projects with merged files no longer fails with the error "Corrupt file: Missing tag information for tag with id: '0'". This issue has been introduced with CU11 and fixed in this update. You will need to recreate the projects and re-merge the files to benefit from this hotfix.

Cumulative update 11 (released on 22 October 2013)
Fix: The license usage in network licensing has been made more robust and accurate.
Fix: The network license no longer changes unexpectedly to a different edition when starting SDL Trados Studio.
Fix: The error message "Value was either too large or too small for an Int32" when activating or starting SDL Trados Studio with a network license no longer occurs.
Fix: The error message "License read failure -80" no longer occurs.
Enhancement: It is now possible to deactivate network license codes which have expired.
Enhancement: When a borrowed license expires, the licensed seat is no longer lost. The user is automatically notified when the license expires.
Change: It is no longer possible to start multiple instances of a single Studio 2011 license via remote desktop connections on a Windows Server OS.
Fix: The error message "An error occurred requesting a license" no longer occurs when connecting to the license server where a time limited license activated offline.

Cumulative update 10 (released on 30 September 2013)
This cumulative update installs digitally signed Java components required for full support of Java 7 update 25 and later in SDL Trados Studio 2014. After installing this update, you will no longer have to reduce the Java security level to Medium to be able to edit terminology in SDL Trados Studio. Instead you can use the High setting. Note: SDL Trados Studio does not support the Very High security setting in Java 7.
This update ships a forward-looking compatibility update for SDL Trados Studio 2011 to support the upcoming SDL Studio GroupShare 2014 release.

Cumulative update 9 (released on 18 April 2013)
In some cases, more seats were used up by the licensing toolkit than Studio clients in use. This has been addressed.
In rare cases, the SDL Network Toolkit could not be licensed properly or used on a server computer. This has been fixed.
SDL Trados Studio Starter licences no longer show as activated when in Studio they are showing as expired.
A license for Studio 2011 can no longer be used by multiple users via remote desktop connections on a Windows Server operating system. As part of this change, it is no longer possible to launch more than one instance of SDL Trados Studio on the client machine connecting to the license server.
The error "An error occurred requesting a license" no longer occurs when connecting to a license server that has been licensed with time-limited activation code and using the Offline Activation option.

Cumulative update 8 (released on 5 March 2013)
This cumulative update includes all previous cumulative updates and the following hotfixes:
This release introduces support for Office 2013 documents (Microsoft Word 2013, Microsoft PowerPoint 2013, and Microsoft Excel 2013).
The Pre-translate batch task now applies machine translation results to segments in ITD/TTX files where source segments have been copied to target with status "Draft" and 0% score.
Input Models are now correctly remembered and applied to new entries created from within SDL Trados Studio.
Microsoft PowerPoint PPTX file type: "Object not set to an instance of an object" errors when opening certain files in Studio should no longer occur.
XLIFF file type: Presegmented XLIFF files are no longer damaged when saved as target.
Issues with adding/deleting language pairs in server-based TMs have been addressed.
Publishing a project with a file-based language resource template no longer fails with "The 'LanguageResourceFilePath' attribute is not allowed"
Server configurations are now held in the roaming rather than local user profile (for all Studio and MultiTerm applications).
Original source files are now produced correctly when exporting SDL XLIFF files into a regulator review bundle.
Citrix: Studio no longer crashes when launched in a Citrix streaming scenario.
A new location for third party plug-ins has been created in the roaming user profile (in addition to the previous local user profile) to facilitate third-party plug-in deployment in large Enterprise scenarios.

Cumulative update 7 (released on 6 December 2012)
Performance issues with mouse scrolling with active display filters have been addressed.
Tracked changes without author and date can now be processed in Word 2007-2010 documents.
Little used QuickInsert items have been moved off the toolbar for the file formats *.docx and *.pptx so users can assign more custom Quick Inserts to the toolbar buttons.
Encoding issues with non-UTF8 encoded text files have been addressed.
Information about project files in the Files View is automatically refreshed after running batch tasks.
Double-clicking on an SDLXLIFF or other Studio file types outside of Studio no longer takes an additional license from the license server.
Excel XLSX filter: The new options for skipping text formatted in a certain color and for worksheet naming have been localized into German and Chinese.
Excel XLSX filter: Text formatted with the Automatic Color setting is now extracted properly by Studio if the Skip text marked with defined color option is activated.
Deriving multilingual server-based project translation memories from main multilingual server TMs no longer causes an error at the Analyze+Pre-translate+Populate batch task.
